The Summer Set, Stories For Monday
"Don't give up when you're down. Don't look back on your life like it's over now."—The Summer Set
We all have our own story. Whether it is through words, photography, or music, there is something that represents us, or something we represent. For The Summer Set, music helps them in creating stories. These include continuing as a band and making music for 9 years, releasing their fourth record, and promoting their record prior to the release all over the country, making them a band dedicated to their supporters. The Summer Set, hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona, consists of Brian Logan Dales (lead vocals), John Gomez (guitar), Stephen Gomez (bass), Jess Bowen (drums), and Josh Montgomery (guitar). With anthemic melodies and harmonies, especially on "Jean Jacket," "Missin' You," and "All My Friends," their album is beautifully and carefully crafted. It features sounds that reflect life as lived by them, in addition to the excitement of music and accomplishment.
The Summer Set will embark on tour in support of Stories For Monday throughout April and May with Handsome Ghost, Royal Teeth, and Call Me Karizma, set to make stops at The Gramercy Theatre on May 26 and May 27. The May 27 show is already sold out, but they will be treating the New York City crowd to hearing the new album live from start to finish on May 26. Be sure to grab a ticket before they're all gone! They are also confirmed to perform on the last 11 dates of this year's Vans Warped Tour, specifically from July 30 to August 13.
