With the return of Young Rising Sons, there’s no doubt fans are on a high. Young Rising Sons, formed and based in Red Bank, New Jersey in 2010, features the musical and creative minds of Andy Tongren (lead vocals, guitar), Steve Patrick (drums, vocals), and Julian Dimagiba (bass, vocals), alongside touring guitarist Max Dean. They released their self-titled EP, which features the hit “High”, on July 22, 2014, via Dirty Canvas/Interscope Records. Shortly after, they embarked on a tour supporting The 1975 with CRUISR. Following the self-titled EP, they put out The Kids Will Be Fine on October 16, 2015, also via Dirty Canvas/Interscope Records. Since then, they have released a number of singles, including “Carry On” and “Noise”, and most recently, “SAD (Clap Your Hands)” and “Scatterbrain”. Aside from The 1975, they have shared the stage with notable artists such as Night Riots, Joywave, and The Kooks.
Young Rising Sons are currently wrapping up their If You’re Sad Tour with support from Saint Slumber. However, they kicked off their tour in NYC, treating fans to a phenomenal intimate show at Elsewhere (Zone One) in Brooklyn on October 10, 2018. For the third year, Mondo.NYC, a Global Business Summit and Music Festival, brought emerging artists, influencers, and technologists together to exchange ideas and sounds all over New York City. The festival, founded by Bobby Haber, ran from October 2-5, 2018. Conceived as a project out of dorm rooms in 2008 by childhood friends Lizzy Plapinger and Derek Davies, Neon Gold has made a name for itself in both in and out of New York City. Jane’s Party is on a roll, having been handpicked to open for Tom Odell in both Europe and North America. Jane’s Party, formed in 2008 and based in Toronto, features the musical talents and passions of Tom Ionescu (guitar, vocals), Devon Richardson (bass, vocals), Jeff Giles (keys, vocals), and Zach Sutton (drums). In addition to a few EPs, they have put out two full-length records, Hot Noise and Tunnel Visions, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. They have shared the stage with artists such as Arkells and Lord Huron.

Ever imagined what toppings the “Drax Project” pizza would feature? Similar to their sound, it would be an eclectic mix of flavors (find out towards the end!). Drax Project is currently a 4-piece formed and based in Wellington, New Zealand that showcases the musical talents and charisma of Shaan Singh (lead vocals, saxophone, keyboard), Matt Beachen (drums, vocals), Ben O’Leary (guitar, vocals), and Sam Thomson (bass, vocals). Their beginnings rewind back to the streets of Wellington in 2013, when Shaan and Matt were busking—performing covers and gaining the attention of maybe 1 or 2 listeners to sparking an impromptu party on the street. Shortly after, they added Sam and then Ben, and continued to create covers, which gradually led to writing and releasing their own tunes. In November 2017, they landed the spot to open for Lorde in Auckland, followed by opening for Ed Sheeran at all 3 of his Auckland shows in March of this year. This summer, they traveled all over Europe supporting Camila Cabello, in addition to sharing their sound in the U.S. with various artists, including Castlecomer. They have released 3 EPs; the most recently released, Noon, features their catchy and addicting song, “Woke Up Late”, which has racked up more than 11 million streams on Spotify. Aside from opening for artists in arenas, they have performed at festivals in New Zealand, such as Auckland City Limits and New Zealand Festival.

If you go to a Nick Cianci show, chances are, you’ll hear “Sparkling Jenny”. There’s something about Nick Cianci’s music that sparkles. Maybe it’s the voice or the electric guitar, or their encounter to form an indie rock ‘n’ roll sound. Nick Cianci, a singer-songwriter and guitarist, hails from Malvern, Pennsylvania, which is just west of Philadelphia, and is currently based in New York City. This year, not only did he graduate from NYU Tisch’s prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, he self-released his debut EP High Fidelity Depressed on July 31, 2018 via Bandcamp. He has taken the stage at a handful of local venues, including Pianos, Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory, Bowery Electric, and Rockwood Music Hall.

Castlecomer, originally from Sydney, Australia and currently based in Los Angeles, California, showcases the talents and charisma of cousins Bede Kennedy (vocals, guitar, shaker), Tommy Kennedy (lead guitar, vocals), Pat Kennedy (drums, vocals), and Joe Kennedy (bass, vocals), along with close friend Joe Neely (keys, synth, vocals). 6512 miles across the Pacific Ocean. The Naked And Famous, formed in Auckland, New Zealand in 2007, is now currently based in Los Angeles, California. Behind the spectacular sound is Alisa Xayalith (vocals, keyboards), Thom Powers (vocals, guitars), and David Beadle (bass), along with touring musician Luna Shadows (vocals, keyboards). They released their debut record, Passive Me, Aggressive You, which features their hit, “Young Blood”, on September 6, 2010 via their own label, Somewhat Damaged. September 13, 2013 then marked the release of their sophomore album, In Rolling Waves, which was followed by Simple Forms on October 14, 2016. In addition, they have released a couple of EPs. Most recently, they put out an acoustic compilation, A Still Heart, on March 2, 2018, via Somewhat Damaged/Kobalt. Not only have they performed at festivals such as Firefly, Coachella, and BottleRock, they have shared the stage with notable artists including Imagine Dragons and GROUPLOVE. After completing a West Coast run of their stripped-down tour in support of A Still Heart, they are currently on the East Coast; they sold out two nights at (le) poisson rouge in NYC earlier this week on June 25 and 26.
